Job Summary
Responsibilities include making minor repairs, performing cleaning and ground maintenance duties, and operating assigned equipment.Â
Job Duties
Makes minor repairs such as unstopping sinks or replacing light bulbs. Performs minor carpentry repairs as needed. Makes minor repairs to equipment and/or appliances.Â
Maintains tools and supplies. Maintains the cleanliness of grounds. Keeps floors clean by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and buffing. Performs ground maintenance by mowing and weed eating. Assists in moving furniture and equipment as needed. Keep sidewalks free of ice, snow and/or debris. Operates and maintains equipment such as backhoe and mowers as assigned. Other duties may be assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
No supervisory responsibilities are required.
Qualifications
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or six months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience Requirements
An additional six months or less related experience is required.

Employee must not and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG’s Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA’s List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
