Job Summary
Responsible for a variety of warehouse duties including sorting and identifying shipments, examining and verifying orders, assisting with inventory and storage, and delivering orders to departments. Assures that a property record is established and maintained for all existing and newly acquired property.
Job Duties
Counts, examines and verifies packaging and contents of items for conformance to order specifications and delivers property to the appropriate department as instructed.
Participates in the daily logging, sorting, and identifying of shipments. Assures that a property record is established and maintained for all existing and newly acquired property classified as an asset.
Prints and prepares delivery documents and stages for delivery daily.
Records description, value, location, and other pertinent information about each item and properly records items into the inventory records.
Plans for proper staging of shipments in regards to space and distribution schedule. Notifies the supervisor immediately of issues or concerns for timely resolution.
Ensures that materials are verified against vendor's invoices, bills of lading, customer orders, shipping documents, and/or other documentation.
Searches for missing purchase order numbers, department information, etc., using Lawson.
Converses or corresponds with customers and other company personnel such as purchasing and accounting to obtain facts regarding customer complaints.
Notifies customer and designated personnel of findings, adjustments, and recommendations such as exchange of merchandise or credit to invoice.
Follows up on recommended adjustments to ensure customer satisfaction.
Reports and sends notices of damage to contents, shortages, and overages as needed; confers and corresponds with procurement to rectify problems.
Assists in organizing storage/shipment area.
Assures that an annual inventory of all assets is conducted and that these assets are accounted for and reconciled.
Conducts periodic inventories to keep records current and ensures that equipment is properly maintained.
Disposes of obsolete, inoperable, or improperly utilized assets in accordance with established policies, laws, and regulations.
Completes appropriate paperwork as required and other duties as assigned. Other duties may be assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
No supervisory responsibility.
Qualifications
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); no exceptions.
Experience Requirement
At least one (1) year of experience in a related field.
Computer Skills
A
n individual should know Database software, Internet software, Inventory software, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
