JOB SUMMARY : Develop coursework to support effective instruction of Aerospace Technician at the school level. Effectively deliver instruction that promotes an exemplary educational program and ensures success for all students.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : The subsequent duties outline the fundamental operations of the position and exemplify the nature of the tasks carried out. They do not encompass a comprehensive inventory of the obligations and responsibilities fulfilled in this role. Instruct students in large, small, and one-on-one situations.

Administer, edit, proofread, and grade students’ assignments and assessments.

Communicate students’ progress, needs, and eligibility with parents/guardians and other staff as needed.

Collaborate with teachers, support personnel, administrators, and colleagues to enhance instruction and improve student outcomes. Maintain CTE compliance required by the Colorado Community College System (CCCS) and Cherry Creek School District, including but not limited to, assembling a pathway advisory committee that meets twice a year, advising a career related student organization, teaching a progressive sequence of courses, etc.

Participate in department, team, building, and District meetings and discussions; student and/or family conferences; social, cultural, interscholastic, and extracurricular activities; and professional growth opportunities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : The minimum prerequisites of formal education, professional work experience, certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, trainings, and other criteria that a candidate must fulfill to be considered for a position. It is essential that certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, and trainings are fulfilled, valid, and not expired.
- Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
- High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma
- Student teaching/practicum/internship/industry experience that meets or exceeds Colorado's requirements
- Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license in content area or Career and Technical Education (CTE) Authorization in content area
- Industry Recognized Credentials including but not limited to FANUC Robotics certifications, Siemens or Bradley PLC Certifications, PMMI Mechatronics Certification, etc.
- Basic knowledge of typical office equipment such as telephones, copiers, fax machines, email, etc.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Basic classroom management and planning skills
- Basic organizational skills
- Intermediate verbal and written communication and interpersonal relations skills
- Ability to align curriculum and assessments with state content standards
- Ability to support programs designed to increase student achievement

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS : Formal education, professional work experience, certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, trainings, and other qualifications relevant to the position that are strongly preferred but not mandatory for a candidate to be considered.
- Three (3) years of successful industry or teaching experience in CTE content area
- Industry related Associate' degree or higher
- Experience working in the public sector
- Experience advising school clubs/co-curricular activities
- Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
- Racially conscious and culturally competent with the skill, will, capacity, and knowledge to commit to a culture of continuous improvement
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: The Cherry Creek Innovation Campus's Aerospace Technician Teacher will develop the next generation of aerospace technicians and engineers by integrating hands-on learning in electronics, mechatronics, PLCs, systems, and test engineering. This position seeks candidates with expertise in either mechatronics or aerospace engineering. Instructors will engage students in industry-relevant problem-solving and technical skills, preparing them for careers in aerospace. Key Areas of Instruction can/will include: 1.
