Position Summary
The Surgical Technologist (ST) is responsible for applying sterile techniques and understanding surgical instruments and procedures under the supervision of the Nurse Manager. The ST will assist in various surgical specialties to care for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply sterile techniques during surgeries
- Understand and maintain knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures
- Assist surgeons and other medical staff during operations
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and medical staff
Requirements:
- Age: 18 years or older
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification: Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technologist program and current CPR certification
- Skills: Strong communication skills, professional appearance, ability to lift 50 pounds, English proficiency
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Ortho, General, OB/GYN, Podiatry, and GI surgical specialties
- Recent experience as a surgical technologist in acute care settings
