Cherry Hills Assisted Living and Memory Care is a unique senior living community that has applied thoughtful consideration into every step in creating our new, boutique living experience. We are seeking to hire a highly qualified Maintenance Director who would like to grow with a company and have the unique opportunity to help mold and create the maintenance and housekeeping department and team. We are looking for someone that has extensive experience managing a maintenance department within an assisted living community, and is versed in the governing laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to an assisted living community. The Candidate will have solid leadership and maintenance skills, and passion for serving seniors. CHAL is an 85-unit senior living community located within sprawling deKoevend Park in Centennial Colorado. Our community has 29 Memory Care suites and 56 Assisted Living Suites. Candidate’s job requirements
- Candidate must have thorough knowledge and understanding of assisted living regulations.
- Candidate has minimum of three (3) years’ experience in managing a maintenance and housekeeping department within an assisted living community.
- Candidate must have proven management skills.
- Candidate must have excellent communication skills and possess the ability to deal tactfully and professionally at all times with personnel, residents, family members and guests.
- Candidate is preferred to have first aid certification but not required.
- Candidate must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action, and effectively manage stressful or emergency situations.
- Candidate needs to have proficient computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office and ability to navigate the internet.
- Candidate must have the ability to use tools and equipment to repair and maintain the building and grounds.
- Candidate is preferred to have knowledge and ability to work on or troubleshoot plumbing systems, electrical systems, alarm systems, appliances including household and commercial stoves, refrigerators, washers, dryers, air-conditioning and heating units.
- Candidate is preferred to have knowledge and ability to read and interpret documents such as specifications, plans, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and federal standards and safety requirements.
- Candidate is preferred to have experience with the TELS work order program.
Maintenance Director Responsibilities
- Maintenance Director will manage and have direct oversight of the maintenance and housekeeping staff.
- Maintenance Director will recruit, interview, hire, manage, schedule, motivate, evaluate and supervise maintenance and housekeeping staff in accordance with community policies, procedures and established budgets.
- Maintenance Director will manage and implement ongoing training, education, and in-services in accordance with all governing requirements, and community policies and procedures to ensure all maintenance and housekeeping staff are properly trained.
- Maintenance Director will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of the building and grounds to maintain proper care of the community in accordance with current federal, state and local laws, regulations and company policy.
- Maintenance Director will conduct and coordinate regular inspections of life safety systems, including fire extinguishers and sprinkler systems.

Pay: $76,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
