Cherry Optical Lab is a leader in manufacturing optical lenses and is obsessed with two things: 1. Making the world's best lenses & 2. Making the world's happiest people. (Our Team Members, our customers, and their patients.) We are looking to fill a full-time position within our Coating team.
The Coating Technician is responsible for operating various automated machines to apply coatings to lenses according to order specifications. The Coating Operator is also tasked with routine machine maintenance and calibration as well as inspecting lenses for quality errors and defects.
Our Coating Technicians thrive in a fast-moving and rapidly changing environment. They have the ability to communicate and work well in a team. We are looking for an individual with a positive demeanor and passion for learning.
Requirements and Qualities We Look For:
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language.
- Ability to stand and walk continuously for up to 8 hours per day.
- Ability to operate technology including computers and scanners.
No Experience required! We provide all the training necessary for you to succeed at Cherry Optical Lab.
The days and hours for this position are Monday - Friday from 2:00pm-10:30pm. While voluntary overtime is generally available, it is never mandatory at Cherry! Starting wage is $20.00 per hour.
