Summary of Position:
To provide overall support to the Retail Store Manager.
Summary of Duties: As with any job, other duties may be assigned as appropriate.
To assist the Retail Manager as directed in accomplishing operational and customer service-oriented tasks and responsibilities. Take ownership, responsibility and to be accountable. Continuous enforcement of Cherry Republic customer service expectations through example. Strong desire to provide quality customer service with a positive attitude.
Non-Essential Job Duties:
Pitching in where needed in preparing the property for each season (raking, shoveling, sweeping, and operating lite equipment). Ability to be on feet for more than 75% during any given shift with 25% of the time performing other tasks (i.e., stationary position at computer). Willingness to provide manual labor as needed with the ability to lift 50 lbs. Promote a positive work atmosphere while working as part of a team to continually improve Cherry Republic as a “must see” part of Northern Michigan.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Serve as lead person for retail staff when Manager is not available. Assists with recruitment of staff, training, scheduling, inventory as needed. Not to be constrained by a desk as this position has you up and moving and interacting with staff and customers.

Excellent communicator, organized, ability to sell to a customer’s needs, able to delegate
responsibilities and follow through to ensure tasks are completed and goals are met or exceeded. A self-starter who can anticipate the needs of the company and Retail Store Manager. Results driven!

Occasional outside maintenance is required (i.e. snow shoveling, sweeping).

- Assists with the training of staff by reviewing and revising orientation to products and sales training materials; assists with delivering training sessions; reviewing staff job results and learning needs with retail store manager; developing and implementing new product training.
- Attracts customers by originating display ideas; following display suggestions or schedules; constructing or assembling prefabricated display properties; producing merchandise displays in windows and showcases, and on sales floor.
- Helps customers by providing information; answering questions; obtaining merchandise requested; completing payment transactions; preparing merchandise for delivery.
- Promotes sales by demonstrating merchandise and products to customers.
- Provides information, identifying and investigating customer complaints and service suggestions.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending internal workshops.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Maintains store organization for efficient opening and closing.
- Leadership, management and accountability over retail staff
- Manages all cleaning and housekeeping throughout the store, both regularly and as required.
- Performs necessary maintenance around the retail store and/or connects with the required vendors to ensure maintenance is handled in a timely manner.
- Maintains parking areas, including problem-solving issues that arise and paying fees as needed.
- Maintains all equipment throughout the store to ensure proper functioning, such as the ice machine, dishwasher, walk-in fridge, freezer, etc.
