Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childcare Provider to join our team at Chesapeake Little Explorers. This role requires someone who is patient, creative, and capable of managing various behaviors while providing engaging activities that promote learning and development.
Duties
- Supervise and ensure the safety of children in your care at all times.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
- Manage behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques.
- Provide care for children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns.
- Assist with daily routines such as meals, naps, and hygiene practices.
- Foster an inclusive atmosphere where all children feel valued and respected.
Qualifications
- Experience in childcare or early childhood education is preferred.
- Strong understanding of behavior management techniques.
- Ability to create engaging learning experiences tailored to children's developmental stages.
- Previous experience working with children with disabilities is a plus.
- Certification in Infant & Child First Aid and CPR required, Basic Health & Safety and SIDS certification preferable.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with parents and other caregivers.
- A nurturing attitude combined with the ability to set clear boundaries for children.
- Background in nannying or caregiving will be considered an asset.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.02 - $18.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
Schedule:

- No weekends
