Cheshire Academy has an opening for an Admission Office Assistant. This is a non-exempt, 12-month position.
FUNCTION: Reporting to the Director of Admission, the Office Assistant provides a high level of administrative support to all team members.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Database Management: Create electronic record for each inquiry and assign them to Admission Officer. Responsible for activating and deactivating applicants and inquiries. Assist with database reporting and additional database management as necessary.
- Inquiry and Application Management: Represent Cheshire Academy as the first point of contact by answering phones, and emails in a timely manner. Greet families and visitors to campus. Responsible for gathering all biographical information from parents and applicants. Daily monitoring and processing of Standard Application Online for each applicant. Ensure that psychological/education testing is forwarded to appropriate individuals.
- Visitor Management – Organize office calendar for appointments. Schedule interviews and tours, assign student ambassadors, and schedule shadow days as needed. Coordinate appointments with members of faculty, staff & coaching according to applicant’s interests and needs and as directed by admission officers and Director of Admission. Follow up reminders to visitors prior to appointment.
- Office Management – Ordering of office supplies, snacks, water and coffee for visitors; processing of related expense reports. Collect and sort mail. Maintain orderly and efficient Waiting Room experience.
- Admission Events: Collaborate with office team in coordination of all events, including registration, nametags, information packets, and assisting where needed on day of event(s).
- Update school information and payment of memberships for Enrollment Management Association, TABS, AISAP and other professional organizations annually.
- In coordination with the Admissions Office Leader, organizes office calendar for appointments. Maintain admissions travel calendar and manages assignments and fair registration.
- Other tasks as needed and determined by the Director of Admission and/or Head of School for success of the admission and reenrollment process.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma is required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

- Must be detail oriented and have experience with data management systems and Microsoft Suite.
- Must possess energy and determination necessary to provide valuable and timely services to prospective and newly enrolling student/families.
- Ability to work independently and part of a close-knit team.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with all levels of faculty, students and staff.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills as well as written and oral communication skills.
