Spanish Teaching Position
Cheshire Academy seeks an immediate full-time Spanish teacher for the 2025-26 academic year.
Candidates should have native or native-like fluency in Spanish with the ability to teach all levels. In addition to novice and intermediate levels of Spanish, Cheshire Academy offers multiple levels of IB Spanish as part of the International Baccalaureate diploma program. Interest in or experience with teaching in the International Baccalaureate program is a plus.
Other Responsibilities Include
School provided housing is not guaranteed for the academic year of 2025-26.
Salary and benefits are competitive. Candidate must be able to pass a criminal background check. School housing is not guaranteed. Interested candidates should upload a cover letter, resume, and the names of three professional references

Candidates who have an innovative and collaborative approach to curriculum and instruction, experience supporting a wide range of learners, and a demonstrable commitment to equity, inclusivity, and antiracism are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates must embrace participation in the entire boarding school experience.
Minimally, this candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree. A master’s degree and relevant teaching experience are preferred.

- Advising;
- Teach four classesor the equivalent and contribute 4 points to the co-curricular program;
- Weekend team responsibilities;
- Residential/dormitory duties (if housing is provided.)
- Must have a valid driver’s license with the ability to obtain a CT “A” endorsement for purposes of transporting students.
- Track and Field (Head Coach)
- Girls Lacrosse
- Football
- Baseball
- Boys and Girls Tennis
