What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Exercise Technician - Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Varied Shifts position at Cheshire Medical Center?
In collaboration with an interdisciplinary team consisting of nursing, intensivists, and physical/occupational therapists, provides passive and/or active physical exercise sequences to intensive care patients to decrease severity/occurrence of delirium and physical decline. Maintain patient safety with regard to medical devices and equipment. Provide education to patient/family regarding the importance of exercise even during critically ill state.
High school graduate or GED equivalent. LNA or EMS experience preferred. Medical terminology helpful. BLS.
