About the Position
Chester Academy is a forward-thinking, positive school community that embraces continuous growth through collaboration, professional development, and a strong mentor program for new educators and educators new to our district. We are seeking a highly skilled School Counselor or Social Worker to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve on the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) Team to collaborate and support the needs of all students
- Support the well-being and mental health of all students by contributing ideas and resources for Tier One responses
- Provide small group and/or individual sessions to build skills and strategies for social, emotional, and mental health
- Serve as a member of the school's crisis response team
- Abide by the school rules and regulations as defined by school board policy, and state and federal laws related to education, and the rights of individuals
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Principal
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Related Field
- School Counselor, School/Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Mental Health Counselor preferred
- NH Educator Certification as a School Counselor (0040), School Social Worker (0049) or Statement of Eligibility
- Experience working with schools, in school settings, or with school-age students preferred
