Responsibilities
- Conduct mental health, domestic violence, and substance use evaluations with clients and families.
- Maintain current and complete documentation in client’s electronic medical record.
- Collaborate with referral sources and internal teams to coordinate client services.
- Provide personalized recommendations and care plans.
- Maintain regular communication with client support systems such as probation officers, family members, and psychiatrists, etc.
- Testify in court when required to advocate for clients.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and team meetings.
- When requested assist with training of new clinicians and interns.
- Uphold Chestnut's commitment to customer service excellence and confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a human services-related field with five years of supervised mental health or substance use disorder experience OR
- Bachelor's degree with current Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (CADC) certification
- Must obtain CADC certification within two years of hire if not already certified.
- Valid driver's license, private auto insurance, and insurability
The anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $21.00 - $22.00 an hour. There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education, experience, local market conditions, and internal equity.
