Purpose:
Lead a collaborative, cross-departmental communications and marketing team committed to telling Chestnut Hill College’s story to the world, defining and building the College’s brand, and implementing marketing campaigns and projects attracting applicants, motivating alumni and donors, recruiting high-quality faculty and staff, and further the institution’s mission.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Vice President of Enrollment Management and Strategic Communications to develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy that supports the College’s mission, values, and enrollment goals.
- Understand key marketing performance metrics and tracking tools to provide market research, competitive analyses, advertising campaign results, and consumer trends, translating these results into actionable insights for the College’s marketing efforts.
- Offer leadership, direction, and supervision for the team, managing the budget, proposing annual budgets, and tracking and approving expenses.
- Oversee the College brand to ensure consistent messaging and design across all media.
- Work closely with the Vice President of Enrollment Management and the Directors of Admission to support recruitment efforts by creating and publishing various communications materials, including print, digital, apparel, and advertising materials. Collaborate closely with the Vice President of Office of Institutional Advancement to support fundraising initiatives.
- Identify both short-term and long-term scheduling, budget, and resource needs, including the creation and management of an annual marketing budget, expenditure projections, and spending, along with other budgetary considerations and ROI.
- Engage directly in marketing projects throughout all stages of development, collaborating with staff across the College.
- Act as the strategic marketing arm of the Office of Communications and Marketing, liaison to the Enrollment division and its three schools.
- Manage and engage with all Spark/ad agency initiatives, collaborate with all BrightEdge/SEO agency initiatives, and maintain all CHC website content and upkeep.
- Provide general support to the Communications team, including content creation for web, emails, newsletters, and more. As needed, write and edit creative copy for print and digital media.
- Together with the Vice President of Enrollment and Communications, offer additional support for various institutional responsibilities, including crisis communications, media relations, Cabinet/Board support, event promotion, and participation.
- Stay current with marketing trends and emerging tools, platforms, outreach, and other innovations.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations or a relevant area. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Must have a minimum of ten years of experience coordinating marketing efforts and working with a range of mediums and online channels. Minimum five years of managing a team.
- Must have experience in Web and Brand management, social media strategy, SEO, and success in increased traffic and/or increased enrollment.
- Must be a creative thinker who can market to a diverse range of audiences in a college setting.
- Must have demonstrated strong copywriting and editing skills.
- Must possess strong organizational skills and demonstrate ability to multi-task, solve problems and work as a proactive team player.
- Experience in brand or strategic management preferred.
