The Process Operator will be tasked with the safe, reliable, and environmentally compliant operation of the Soltex and Utilities Units at Conroe Plant.
Process Operators utilize the Tenets of Operations, Guiding Principles, and all applicable Company and Site Operating and Safety procedures to produce quality product.
The Process Operator also partners with the EHSS, Maintenance, and Technical groups to ensure all Plant safety, environmental, and production objectives are met.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate process and utility equipment within safe operating ranges
- Make changes to the operating process necessary to maintain safety and quality targets
- Monitor the performance of plant equipment and process conditions, read flow meters and temperature and pressure gauges, and take routine readings on process equipment
- Operate control room DCS systems
- Effectively troubleshoot process issues in the Plant
- Draw samples of products from the process for laboratory testing
- Perform lab testing on process streams
- Promptly respond to process alarms / constraints
- Safely Start-Up and Shut-Down process equipment
- Prepare equipment for Maintenance and safely Return to Service
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a High School Diploma / GED with minimum of 4 years of applicable experience in the Petrochemical or Refinery industry OR an associate degree in Process Technology (or related field) with minimum 2 years of experience
- Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English
- Should possess basic computer skills
