Total Number of Openings 1 Chevron is accepting online applications for the Immigration Specialist position through 12/08/2023 at 11:59 p.m. CST The Immigration Specialist is a member of the HR Shared Services Global Mobility Operations Team. The position ensures compliance with United States immigration laws and regulations and is the first point of contact for all US immigration questions from employees, business leaders and Human Resources Business Partners. Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: Provide immigration counsel, guidance, and strategy on temporary and/or permanent work permits to various stakeholders including employees, business line managers, Business HR, and Talent Acquisition and Management groups. Coordinate with stakeholders and external immigration counsel and external services providers to find optimal solutions to immigration issues to support Chevron’s business requirements. Manage initiation, extension and repatriation of US immigration activities in Chevron's expatriate management system, Assignment Pro. Work closely with Export Control Compliance Group to comply with deemed export control regulatory requirements. Provide US Visa Assessment and guidance to the business to inform hiring and employee resourcing decisions. Manage immigration group shared email Outlook mailbox. Respond to and manage routine queries and immigration correspondence, engaging outside counsel as needed, flagging to Sr. Advisor when appropriate. Prepare letters of invitation to the US. Prepare letters of verification for immigration services. Support I-9 Process Owner with subject manager expertise on work authorization for employees on expatriate assignment. Data management, tracking and analysis of immigration data including visa status and overall immigration strategy. This includes maintenance of dashboards and other analytical tools. Act as backup for global immigration processes to support our team in Manila as needed. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree required Minimum 5 years of related professional experience Minimum 2 years of related immigration experience and familiarity with immigration processes and procedures (Immigration Law Firm, USCIS, corporate in-house immigration department). Strong competency in core professional skills, especially initiative, responsiveness, follow-through, attention to detail, and tact. Ability to lead projects, multitask and prioritize tasks appropriately. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with large teams. Ability to manage and resolve complex and sensitive situations while managing confidential information appropriately and professionally. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Strong data collection and analysis skills. Ability to create data visualizations and communicate trends that inform business decisions. Strong conflict resolution skills, including the ability to negotiate and influence others. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
