Infrastructure is one of five job families within Information Technology. Roles within this job family provide and apply expertise in planning, coordinating, implementing, maintaining hardware, software infrastructure and services for the enterprise.

Cloud Engineer 

Job description 

We are looking for motivated individuals to develop, implement, optimize, code, and maintain cloud-based solutions. You will be responsible for developing, deploying, and debugging cloud stacks and ensuring the reliability and security of the cloud infrastructure. This role provides opportunities to work across Infrastructure, Applications, Security, Cloud Computing, DevOps, and Server Consolidation. 

Successful candidates will be able to identify the most optimal cloud-based solutions for our digital platforms and maintain cloud infrastructures in accordance with best practices and company security policies. You should understand the nuances of different cloud solutions (hybrid, public, private, multi-cloud, on-prem) and implications for solution design. The Cloud Engineer will apply excellent troubleshooting skills, stay current with industry trends, and must be a team player. 

 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Participate in Azure Cloud/Digital related business requirement discussions and design through SAFe Agile ceremonies. 

  • Perform Azure cloud work such as logical system design, cloud architecture analysis and design, and systems engineering. 

  • Implement and automate Azure services through DevOps Infrastructure as Code (IaC). 

  • Design and implement application security for Azure cloud native solutions. 

  • Ensure efficient functioning of data storage and data protection services in accordance with company security policies and best practices. 

  • Maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot Azure environments and services. 

  • Collaborate with software engineering teams to identify optimal cloud solutions. 

  • Identify, analyze, and resolve vulnerabilities and deployment issues. 

  • Work and collaborate with managed-service providers to achieve optimum support and operations of the infrastructure environment. 

 

Requirements: 

Preferred education/degrees 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Management Information Systems 

  • Must be currently enrolled in a four-year college or university and classified as a senior or graduate student with anticipation of receiving a bachelor’s or master’s degree by July 2025; OR college graduates with less than two years’ experience since receiving a degree 

  • Must provide a current, unofficial transcript with online resume (as proof of good academic standing) when applying for this position to be considered 

 

Preferred Experience:  

  • Ability to code/script to automate cloud services including C#, PowerShell, HTML, Python, YAML, Ansible 

  • Experience with Ansible, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Active Directory 

  • Experience with Azure, AWS, or equivalent cloud technologies 

  • Experience in Microsoft Windows Server and/or Linux Operating Systems (Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, Alma Linux, and Ubuntu) 

  • Experience in Hypervisor Environment such as Hyper-V, VMWare or other virtualization technologies 

  • Certification or experience in Agile or SAFe methodology

Network Engineer 

Job description: 

We are looking for highly motivated individuals to develop, implement, optimize, and maintain network-based solutions. You will be responsible for designing, deploying, and operating network and security infrastructure. This role provides opportunities to provide connectivity across Infrastructure, Applications, Security, Cloud Computing, and On-premises datacenter server connectivity. 

To be successful, you should be able to identify the most optimal network solutions for our digital platforms and maintain network infrastructures in accordance with best practices and company security policies. You should understand the nuances of different network solutions. (Enterprise and Industrial networks, private, Wi-Fi, firewalls, multi-cloud, on-prem) and implications for solution design. The Network Engineer will apply excellent troubleshooting skills, stay current with industry trends, and must be a team player. 

 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Implement solutions and processes to maintain the reliability, effectiveness, and efficiency of infrastructure components across the enterprise and associated industrial process environments. 

  • Collaborate with product owners, development team, architects, business units and other stakeholders to deliver solutions using the SAFe Agile methodology. 

  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities, create new or improved processes utilizing automation to support business/technology effectiveness. 

  • Collect and analyzes network infrastructure requirements and design solutions that have the risk-based protection, standardization, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. 

  • Transition developed solutions to operations teams and provide training. Provide solution transitional technical support. 

  • Follows change management processes and practices when introducing changes to the technology environment. 

  • Promote standard practices to maximize enterprise value. Provide guidance on standards and guardrails. 

  • Participate in the development, testing, and validation of system proposals. 

 

Requirements: 

Preferred education/degrees

  • Demonstrated knowledge and capability to deliver results with beginning to intermediate networking concepts and infrastructure components. 

  • Experience in scripting, programmability, and automation. 

  • Wireless Radio Frequency (RF) communications concepts 

  • Implementing system configuration using terminal console and program interfaces. 

  • Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems 

  • Secure network design knowledge for routers, switches and wire/wireless LAN, application firewalls, encrypted communications, and third-party connectivity configurations. 

  • Using network operations and security packet analysis tools. Understanding of ISO Layers 1 through 7. 

  • Analysis of logs on devices/servers and log consolidation systems. 

  • Using DevOps practices and Agile methodology 

Preferred skills/competencies 

  • Scripting, programmability, and automation using Python (or other) using databases and data structures (e.g., JSON, YAML, YANG, XML) 

  • Using APIs to acquire data and send instructions. 

  • Network and security knowledge and certifications (e.g., CCNA, Security ) 

  • Radio frequency communications principles 

  • Business and industrial process network segmentation architectures 

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills 

  • Troubleshooting and analytical skills 

  • SAFe Agile methodology

  • The anticipated salary range for this position is $91,000 - $129,000. The selected candidate’s compensation will be determined based on their respective degree level and discipline for U.S. payroll offers.
