A solo gastroenterologist is sought to join a small hospital in Upstate New York, replacing a departing physician. The position primarily involves outpatient care with occasional inpatient consultations for gastrointestinal bleeding. The gastroenterologist will have 2-3 procedure days and at least 2 clinic days, covering general GI issues, consults, upper and lower endoscopies, and colonoscopies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide outpatient care with minimal inpatient consultation service
- Perform procedures such as endoscopy and colonoscopy
- Conduct general GI consults and examinations
