POSITION SUMMARY:
The Customer Service Representative provides services necessary to operate the NMUSA ELC seven days a week inclusive of weekends and holidays during the museum’s operating hours. Customer Service Representatives are public-facing, positive representatives of the museum.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrate strong customer services skills including the ability to interact with a wide range of visitors.
- Assume duties on time and be dependable in your assigned location and role.
- Welcome visitors individually or in groups and introduce them to the museum.
- Fulfill assigned duties making sure adequate supplies are on hand.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIRED:
- Two years demonstrated professional experience providing in-person, forward facing customer service.
- Strong customer service skills, organizational, and problem solving skills preferred.
- Work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Associates degree required.
- Work or experience with an art, culture, museum, education and/or visitor focused mission preferred.
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
- May be required to use computer screen for extensive periods of time.
- Occasional lifting of 15 to 20 lbs.
- Extended working hours and travel may be necessary.
