What are the responsibilities and job description for the Golf Course Maintenance position at Chi Chi Rodriguez Youth Foundation Inc?
The Golf Course Maintenance Staff works under the supervision of the assistant superintendent and superintendent and performs routine manual labor involved in golf course maintenance. Staff responsibilities include but are not limited to mowing greens, tees, fairways and rough, raking bunkers, string trimming, blowing and landscaping, hand watering of all playing surfaces, and golf course set-up.
Chi Chi Rodriguez Youth Foundation is a partner with Pinellas County Schools to serve about 90 children grades 5 through 8. The golf course, driving range, as well as donations, help provide the funding for this educational opportunity for the students.
We have several large scale projects in the works and in the plans over the next few years, with lots of opportunities for employees to grow and develop in the golf course industry.
Getting to work early in the morning and ON TIME is a must. We begin work at 5:30am everyday. Half day on Fridays (unless preparing for a Tournament), and rotate weekend shifts with only a few hours each morning. Employees can expect to get 40 hrs a week, with possible overtime depending on the time of year and project we are undertaking.
A waiting period does apply for full time employee benefits. Drug test and background check will be completed before starting.
