Job Summary / Purpose
The Quality Project Coordinator contributes to the CHI Saint Joseph Health vision and mission by performing a wide variety of duties independently to further the goals and strategic objectives. This position supports the Quality and Risk Manager, within the Medical Group. The Quality Project Coordinator participates in the Standards Committee, Primary Care Service Line, and Quality Meetings. The role is responsible for providing support and development in organizing and ensuring that project deadlines are met in a timely manner.
Essential Key Job Responsibilities
- Provides project coordination to assigned projects, such as: Quality data, chart audits, conducts research, and performs analysis to lead to conclusions and recommendations on assigned projects. Ensures timely follow-up on assigned projects.
- Prepares presentations and reports as needed for projects. Synthesizes information to create graphical and text presentations. Maintains proficiency with graphical, analytical and other software as needed to create meaningful presentations and reports.
- Participates in the Insurance Carrier meetings, narrow clinical care gaps, assist in earning additional incentive monies from Insurance Carriers.
- Communicates with internal and external audiences, including physicians, to obtain information or otherwise assist in project completion.
- Takes personal initiative to prepare drafts of correspondence and other documents required on a timely basis. Composes letters and memoranda in response to inquiries as directed.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Required Education and Experience | College Degree preferred; High School or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years of healthcare experience, or equivalent required. |
Required Licensure and Certifications | Clinical Certification preferred (ex: Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Credential Medical Assistant, or equivalent) |
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training | Strong time management skills; high level of proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and Google Workspace; receptive to learning new skills; strong analytical skills; must demonstrate personal traits of a high level of motivation; team orientation; professionalism; trust; and place a high value on treating others with dignity and respect.
