Responsibilities
- Visits patients/ families and staff to identify spiritual issues and needs.
- Assist in planning spiritual education through department planned activities.
- Assist in trauma situations as needed.
- Assist in planning prayer services and providing spiritual resources for staff and patients.
- Have knowledge of Advanced Directives and help in preparation of documents as requested.
- Work collaboratively with all executives and managers as needed to maintain a level of operations to be in compliance with all regulatory agencies, including Joint Commission, federal, state, and local standards
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
- Graduate of an accredited seminary or school of theology
- Minimum two (2) years of pastoral experience in Healthcare
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training
- Ability to minister to patients and families in crisis
- Exceptional verbal communication skills
- Ability to plan, organize, and exercise independent judgement
- Ability to be open, flexible, and ecumenical
- Knowledge of beliefs and practices of cultures related to death and dying
- Possesses a sympathetic attitude toward caring for patients
Preferred Licensure and Certifications
- BCC-APC; or CSCPE; or BCC-BCC; or CHAPLAIN
Pay Range
$17.93 - $24.66 /hour
Salary : $18 - $25
