Job Summary / Purpose
This role is critical in developing and implementing CommonSpirit’s union benefit strategy, ensuring competitive and cost-effective benefits packages for our unionized workforce. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, an understanding of union dynamics, and experience in benefits administration and strategy. This role will also lead and manage complex projects related to employee benefits programs for some of our medical groups, requiring a strong understanding of benefits administration, project management methodologies, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. It is a role requiring collaboration with various stakeholders, including Employee Labor Relations, HR, Benefit Administration, Legal, and Compensation teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring projects to ensure timely and successful completion within budget and scope.
This role will also focus on the design, administration, and analysis of executive benefits programs, ensuring compliance and competitiveness while aligning with overall company strategy. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of executive benefit principles, and experience working with complex benefit plans. This role requires discretion, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with senior executives and other stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications
Required Education And Experience
Three to five years of experience in data and analytics and/or project management of employee benefits plans for a large, multi-site employer or related field. Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and/or additional job related experience in lieu of the degree.
Required Licensure And Certifications
CEBS certification preferred, but not required.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And Training
Minimum of three years of experience in benefits administration/strategy.
Must possess detailed benefit knowledge including coverage provisions, legal requirements, and implementation and enrollment process. Must have a broad perspective on industry plans, trends, vendors, administrators, and financing arrangements. Must have strong knowledge of vendor fee arrangements. Must be able to work under minimal supervision.
Pay Range
$37.05 - $53.72 /hour

Essential Key Job Responsibilities
- Collaborates with System Manager, Benefits Strategy Documentation and Project Management, Benefits CoE Directors and CommonSpirit Employee Labor Relations to maintain comprehensive documentation of union contracts, negotiation calendars, and aligns strategic benefit changes. Responsibilities also include benefit plan strategies for small groups not covered under CommonSpirit's primary health, welfare and retirement plans.
- Develops and maintains a comprehensive roadmap to facilitate benefit harmonization across union benefit plans.
- Develops and maintains comprehensive documentation for executive benefits programs, including historical plan design details and future strategic direction.
- Manages cross-functional project teams, including members from HR, Legal, and Employee Labor Relations. Facilitate communication and collaboration among Benefit CoE team members and stakeholders.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies related to union and executive benefits.
- Prepares comprehensive reports and presentations summarizing union and executive benefit program performance and future projections.
- Stays abreast of industry best practices, legislative changes, and emerging trends in union and executive benefits.
- Maintains strict confidentiality regarding sensitive union and executive benefit information.
