PROJECT COORDINATOR TO ART BUSINESS
Chicago Art Source is a professional organization that creates art programs for architects and designers in corporate, healthcare and hospitality industries. We are looking for someone with an art background and project management skills. This position is part art, part presentation, part administrative (solid experience with Excel is important; reading floor plans, file prep, scanning, PDF editing, large scale printing). This is not a museum or gallery position. We provide a wide array of possibilities from POD to prints to collectible fine art.
Candidate must be at ease taking on multiple projects, have the ability to prioritize deadlines, possess a strong art aesthetic, and be capable of working efficiently both in a highly collaborative work environment as well as independently, with no need for supervision. The position will not be working directly with the end-user, but rather with the PM team and outside sales department.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Source works with vendors and galleries that meet the aesthetic needs and budget of our clients
- Create proposals/catalogs for outside sales team
- Develop and curate art programs
- Communicate and following-up with vendors
- Check-in artwork as it arrives
- Wrap art, process framing orders
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- Ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Bachelor’s degree in art related field preferred
- Proficient in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, and MS Office Word and Excel
- Business minded and well-versed in art
- Possess creative, methodical, as well as strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs (will need to be able to lift printer paper rolls, help with moving crates/boxes, and framed art at installation)

Pay: $46,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
