The Skin Science Brand Manager at CCSD and CSS plays a vital role in enhancing the retail environment and advancing patient satisfaction. Acting as the essential liaison among doctors, patients, management, support staff, and vendors, this position fosters a culture of exceptional service and effective communication. The supervisor will be responsible for overseeing retail inventory management, conducting insightful skincare consultations, and creating visually compelling product displays to maximize sales.

In addition to providing tailored product recommendations that enrich patients' skincare journeys, the Skin Science Brand Manager will develop and implement retail growth strategies aligned with the practice's marketing goals. This role includes optimizing customer experiences through loyalty programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and establishing key performance indicators to assess retail operations.

Collaboration with the clinical team to integrate retail offerings into patient care, leveraging technology for operational efficiency, and fostering community relationships are essential components of this role. The Skin Science Brand Manager will also implement employee engagement initiatives, conduct regular staff trainings, and manage a high-performing retail team committed to excellence.

Through a combination of strategic planning, performance management, and innovation, the Skin Science Brand Manager will contribute to the ongoing success of the retail sector within our practice, ensuring a luxurious and satisfying experience for every patient.


Essential Functions

  • Patient Care:
  • Utilize cutting-edge Visia Skin Care Analysis technology to recommend product solutions that best fit patient needs.
  • Identify and suggest complementary products based on detailed reviews of patient records.
  • Educate patients and team members on effective cosmetic product usage, enhancing their overall experience and satisfaction.
  • Proactively address patient inquiries regarding retail products and follow up after purchases to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
  • Coordinate product replenishment outreach three to four months post-purchase to maintain ongoing engagement and support.
  • Monitor and document patient reactions to products, ensuring communication with providers as needed.
  • Efficiently manage patient checkout processes, including entering charges and collecting payments.
  • Shadow healthcare providers regularly to stay aligned with treatment protocols and patient recommendations.

  • Inventory Management
  • Along with marketing, oversees chicagoskinscience retail inventory master lists, identifying and correcting descriptions and stock/skew numbers
  • Oversees/locates items that may have incorrect locations or stock numbers to assist order processors
  • Reviews retail products and inventory stock monthly. Send Purchase Orders to Financial Coordinator, Practice Administrator and Director of Cosmetics for approval. Order approved products
  • Secures merchandise by implementing security systems and measures
  • Maintains contact information for all sales representatives and review specials before ordering any supplies
  • Oversees merchandising products on shelves to maximize product sales
  • Oversees inventory receiving - unpack, stock and add to inventory; assists Retail Store Coordinator with retail store inventory as back up
  • Updates correct product pricing in inventory software
  • Manages product returns/adverse reactions with sales representatives
  • Analyzes product lists and make recommendations for discontinuing duplicate products or filling gaps
  • Updates ShippingEasy product list to reflect current online products
  • Manages Staff product requests, acquires and distributes to staff
  • Manages product returns and adverse reactions with sales representatives
  • Administrative:
  • Develop and implement retail growth strategies that align with overall practice marketing and revenue goals.
  • Analyze sales trends and customer feedback to identify new market opportunities and product lines that can enhance patient satisfaction.
  • Evaluate and enhance the in-store experience, ensuring that all touchpoints meet the luxury standards of the practice.
  • Partner with the clinical team to integrate retail offerings with patient care plans, ensuring cohesive communication regarding product recommendations.
  • Foster partnerships with local businesses and organizations to enhance brand visibility and community engagement.
  • Serve as the brand ambassador at community events and promotional activities, driving awareness of retail offerings.
  • Maintains contact information for all retail sales representatives.
  • Analyzes product lists and makes recommendations for discontinuing duplicate products or filling gaps.
  • Develop and implement a crisis management plan for retail operations, ensuring preparedness for potential issues such as product recalls or supply chain disruptions.
  • Conduct weekly inventory reviews to identify shortages and manage reordering processes efficiently, anticipating upcoming sales and seasons.
  • Maintain accurate Daily Sales Spreadsheets to track retail performance.
  • Perform thorough physical counts of retail products on a weekly and monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and availability.
  • Implement security measures to safeguard merchandise effectively.
  • Cultivate relationships with sales representatives to stay informed about product specials, enhancing ordering decisions.
  • Merchandise products strategically to maximize visibility and sales potential.
  • Facilitate inventory procurement and reception, including receiving, unpacking and stocking new products.
  • Update product pricing in inventory systems and online platforms, ensuring all staff are informed of changes.
  • Schedule and oversee staffing assignments, monitoring performance and workflow.
  • Recruit, interview, and train a high-performing retail team of product experts committed to excellence.
  • Coach and mentor staff, applying best practices for performance management and development.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to refresh and enhance product descriptions across digital and in-office materials.
  • Contribute to monthly meeting agendas with updates on new products, promotions, and key metrics.
  • Analyze product offerings to streamline inventory and enhance the shopping experience.
  • Stay ahead of market trends, sharing innovative ideas with our Director of Cosmetics and Medical Director to elevate our services.
  • Build professional relationships within the community by attending marketing events and networking opportunities.
  • Oversee the online store to facilitate order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
  • Generate and review monthly, quarterly, and annual product sales reports with the Practice Administrator and Director of Cosmetics.
  • Maintain ongoing education and professional development through workshops and networking, ensuring a high level of expertise.
  • Continuously seek ways to enhance retail operations and streamline processes, contributing to overall efficiency.
  • Prepare and deliver engaging quarterly training modules to staff, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
  • Work collaboratively with leadership to ensure seamless operations and exceptional patient experiences.
  • Cultivate an environment of respect for all patients and team members, reinforcing our core values.


Requirements

  • Adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and CLIA regulations to maintain a compliant and safe environment


Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • One to two years of supervisor or management experience required
  • Two or more years of sales experience required
  • One to two years of inventory management required
