Job Description

The Project Manager will have direct interface with internal and third-party entities in order to gather, correlate, analyze, and track the department's responsibilities, reporting requirements, and outcomes pertaining to activity and initiatives that are required to initiate and maintain critical relationships (i.e. HUD, investors, personnel from other CHA divisions / departments, internal and external stakeholders, etc). They will assist in the implementation of policies and procedures to achieve the established goals and objectives of the department. They will navigate and implement systems, SOPs, software integration methods, and field work and will be responsible for providing high level administrative support and organization to the Asset Management Department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops and maintains systems used to gather, correlate, analyze, and track project activities and status.
  • Project manages complex deliverables, acting as the liaison between the assigned Portfolio and the contributors and / or recipients.
  • Coordinates timely responses and prepares drafts to answer FOIA requests, OIG audit responses, and other required responses.
  • Assists the department in identifying potential conflicts, problems, challenges of the work assignment, and coordinate activities to resolve outstanding issues.
  • Performs research, analyzes findings, and assesses the use and limitation of processes and systems used to develop solutions to problems.
  • Investigates and responds to various communications with internal, external regulatory bodies, and third-party owner entities as they relate to the reporting initiatives / requirements to ensure accurate information is accessible, received, and translated.
  • Assists with the department's communications, correspondence, and reporting.
  • Coordinates scheduling and closeout of HUD's NSPIRE inspections
  • May be required to attend meetings on various department or project matters and preparing responses for management review.

QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a Bachelor's degree or some college courses with at least three (3) years of experience providing high volume administrative support and oversight, preferably at the levels of Executive Administration and / or Project Management. Candidate must possess strong skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access & data entry as well as strong grasp of project management and other relevant software programs and systems, with quick adaptability to innovative technologies. They must have effective verbal, written, and customer relations skills, as well as effective problem-solving and organizational skills. They must be able to Must have the ability to exercise objective judgment, discretion, and work on multiple initiatives simultaneously, and possess a valid state of Illinois Driver's License. A writing assessment will be administered during interview process.

Salary Range : $75,000 - 85,000

Grade : S7

FLSA : Exempt
