Duties and Responsibilities
This role is critical to the success of our foundry operations and requires a highly skilled and experienced individual. The selected candidate will be responsible for answering quality issues and questions related to specifications and blueprints, resolving NDT issues related to acceptance or rejection, ensuring certifications are accurate and up-to-date, attending Material Review Board (MRB) meetings as needed, updating radiographic and penetrant methods with new technology, revising radiographic techniques and ensuring correct exposure parameters, learning equipment and calibration requirements, process controls, etc., training and maintaining NDT personnel certifications internally, reviewing film usage on current techniques for coverage or overcoverage, writing work instructions for Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection when required by customer, checking equipment for calibration requirements and sending out for calibration when needed, attending process improvement meetings, ensuring departments conform to NADCAP and customer requirements, and effectively communicating with management and customers regarding NDT processes.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in problem-solving, with experience working with engineering and customers to resolve quality issues.
