Chicago Marriott Northwest, nestled in the northwest suburbs off I90 Toll Road and Route 59, just 30 minutes outside of Chicago. Our hotel is the perfect commute and work-home away from home base for suburban, urban and even farm country dwellers.

Banquet Steward - Key Responsibilities

As a Banquet Steward at our Chicago Marriott Northwest in Hoffman Estates, you will play a crucial role in creating a memorable first impression for our guests. Your engaging personality and exceptional customer service skills will contribute to our goal of providing guests with an unforgettable experience. Your key responsibilities will include:

Cleaning and Sanitation:

• Clean and sanitize china, glassware, silverware, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen production areas.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, including dishwashing machines and trash compactors.

Equipment Setup and Breakdown:

• Set up and prepare equipment for banquet functions.
• Break down and clean equipment after functions.
• Ensure all equipment is properly stored and maintained.

Food Expediting:

• Assist with the timely and efficient delivery of food to banquet functions.
• Ensure food is presented to the correct standards.

Other Duties:

• Stock and maintain work areas.
• Assist with other tasks as needed.
• Follow all safety and hygiene procedures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $9.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
