The Chicago Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to provide essential services to help students with special needs access their educational environment and participate fully in their academic programs.

Responsibilities
- Assess students through skilled professional observation, therapeutic handling, record review, and parent, student, and teacher interviews.
- Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy intervention strategies to address the unique needs of each student.
- Collaborate with student, school team members, parents, community agencies, administrators, and physicians regarding effective coordination of services.
- Document all occupational therapy services provided within a timely manner as outlined by the Office of Diverse Learner Supports and Services.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in occupational therapy from an accredited occupational therapy program.
- A valid Illinois occupational therapy license.
- 24 hours of continuing education per license renewal cycle.
- Experience working with students with special needs.
