What are the responsibilities and job description for the Communications Intern position at Chicago Stars Football Club?
Chicago Stars FC is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Communications team as a Communications Intern during our seasonal intern cohorts. The intern position will assist the club with general duties including drafting communications materials, assisting with matchday duties, and other media-specific responsibilities. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to gain communications experience in the sports industry.
Responsibilities :
- Compile twice-weekly media coverage of the Chicago Stars
- Update and manage the club’s statistical records
- Assist with creating and maintaining the club’s game notes and media guide
- Assist with ideating stories about the club for local news outlets
- Assist with media operations for all home matches including press box set up and tear down, media check-in, and other assignments as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Candidates must have reliable transportation to and from SeatGeek Stadium for matches. This position reports directly to the Communications Manager.
