JOB TITLE : Commercial Title Assistant
Chicago Title NCS CA seeks an experienced Commercial Title Assistant with an understanding of documentation (e.g., grant deeds). This position performs various clerical tasks that require great attention to detail. The successful candidate will plan and organize time and tasks effectively. S / he must have extensive reading and writing skills in order to professionally process incoming and outgoing correspondence, complete proofreading assignments, and manage both filing and copying projects. Our title assistant must be a team player in order to coordinate title operations with other departments and should be an excellent communicator (both verbal and written). Extensive interactions with clients are required and s / he should be respectful of customers and their privacy.
JOB SUMMARY
Our title assistant performs various clerical tasks as directed by our title officers. S / He is responsible for incoming and outgoing correspondence, proofreading, filing, and copying. This position prepares documents and instructions for closing transactions.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinates title operations with other departments (e.g., customer service, searching, examining, and accounting)
- Communicates with clients in the opening and closing of title files
- Prepares documents and instructions for closing transactions
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Adheres to company policies and guidelines
QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE
One (1) to two (2) years of experience in the title or real estate industry is required.
EDUCATION
A high school diploma is required.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, INSURANCE
No certifications, licenses, or insurance are required.
KNOWLEDGE
Understanding of documentation (e.g., grant deeds) is preferred.
