What are the responsibilities and job description for the GAME DAY MARKETING AMBASSADOR position at Chicago White Sox?
Overview:
The White Sox Marketing Department is looking for qualified candidates interested in joining our gameday crew for the 2025 season. This is a part-time position perfect for college students or anyone with a flexible schedule. You’ll represent the White Sox at home games throughout the regular season and interact with fans to help build positive experiences. This position is a great resume-builder for individuals looking to break into the sports industry.
Responsibilities:
- Operate numerous marketing programs at Rate Field during White Sox home games, including the Kids Club, First Game Certificate Booth, and Kids Zone attractions
- Assist young fans in registration, badge creation, and distribution of monthly prizes for the White Sox Kids Club
- Print customized fan “First Game” certificates
- Operate numerous attractions in the Xfinity Kids Zone including, but not limited to, batting cages, speed pitch, and sprint tracks
- Ensure the safety of all fans throughout their participation (i.e. make sure participants are under the age of 14 and wearing proper footwear), effectively communicating rules and expectations
- Communicate youth programs and logistics effectively with all fans, answer questions regarding the ballpark/team, and maintain a positive, outgoing demeanor while interacting with fans and other ballpark staff
- Continue to enhance the ballpark experience for all fans inside and outside of the stadium by greeting guests, answering questions to the best of your ability, and helping to direct them around the ballpark
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Available to work a flexible schedule with some weekdays, weekends, and nights required (please reference the White Sox 2025 home game schedule)
- Must be willing to work at least 40 games throughout the season. Shifts can be anywhere from 3-6 hours, depending on the game.
- Must show enthusiasm, professionalism, and maintain a positive attitude
- Must be outgoing, energetic, communicative, and reliable
- Interested in working with fans of all ages, especially youth
