TITLE: Assistant Director - Compliance
STATUS: Exempt
SALARY: $95,000 - $100,000 based on experience and licensure status
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Senior Director of Clinical Operations, the Assistant Director of Compliance will plan, organize, and coordinate the agency compliance efforts for licensure, regulatory and governmental agency standards, and provide oversight of the Intake Department. The Assistant Director of Compliance is responsible for upholding State and Federal Regulations, as well as policies and procedures established by all Amanecer’s funders. The Assistant Director implements strategic plans for agency wide compliance as it relates to quality assurance, Cal-AIMS, and HIPPA regulations, as well as Quality Improvement plans and clinical training. Working closely with Senior Leadership Team (SLT), the Assistant Director creates and updates Clinical Policies and Procedures. The Assistant Director of Compliance will also be providing direct support to Clinical Training Manager, Quality Assurance Supervisor, Intake Specialist, Intake Coordinator, and Intake Assessor-Therapist.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position directly supervises the Quality Assurance Supervisor, Clinical Training Manager, and Intake program staff and Intake Therapist. The Assistant Director is responsible for providing oversight to all Compliance Department programs – Support Staff, Quality Assurance, Billing, Intake, Clinical Training, and Internships.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
Education /Background:
- Current Licensure in California as a Clinical Psychologist (LPCC), Licensed Marriage Child Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or approved to take examination for licensees by the board of behavioral sciences.
- Must be in good-standing with CA Board of Behavioral Sciences.
- Minimum 2 to 4 years supervisory and managerial experience in a mental health program.
- Experience in Quality Assurance/Utilization Review/Clinical Records Review.
- Knowledge of Privacy and Security Regulations as per HIPAA.

- Knowledge of EXYM preferred.

- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and delegate in order to balance the many responsibilities, and address the various issues, that an Assistant Director faces during the workday.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, especially Microsoft teams).
HYBRID REMOTE:
Position is hybrid remote. Employee must be willing to work in the office as required. Some positions require field-based services or meeting community partners at their place of business. This role supports teams in both SPA 4 (DTLA) and SPA 6 (Lynwood) and is expected to travel to either site as needed/required of the hybrid remote schedule.
