Position Overview:
The Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking and serving meals to students and staff in compliance with health, safety, and school district guidelines. This role supports the school's mission by ensuring the meals are served efficiently and in a welcoming environment, promoting the health and well-being of students.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
• Prepares food for staff and students.
• Washes instruments (includes pots and pans) used in the preparation of the meals.
• Maintain a sanitary working environment suitable for food distribution.
• Perform clean up duties at the end of shift
• Operates institutional food service equipment while preparing and serving foods.
• Follows standard recipes.
• Follows sanitation codes.
• Performs cashier duties to include meal accounting records.
* Keep accurate records of meals served, food temperatures, and cleaning schedules.
* Report any equipment malfunctions, food quality issues, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
Hours: 7am - 2:30pm
EVALUATIONS
Performance will be evaluated annually.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or General Education degree.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and fumes or airborne particles. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, risk of radiation, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually such that it may interfere with normal conversation sound level.

Salary : $15
