Professional Experience
Fellows Seminar
The Chick-fil-A Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Community Fellows Program is a 12 month experiential program that uniquely integrates high-level CSR work experience with professional development. Fellows are placed with an executive mentor and leaders on the Community Engagement management team of Chick-fil-A’s Corporate Office, called the Support Center.
The CSR Community Fellow will be responsible for working with teams across the business to help deliver successful and impactful CSR programming. This role will research and recommend industry best practices to support design and execution of initiatives that align with Chick-fil-A’s mission and meets stakeholder engagement, community service, and corporate social responsibility strategic priorities.
Professional Experience
The program provides Fellows the opportunity to have a unique fellowship experience within the context of their placement. Through community engagement, development, and implementation, Fellows will gain hands-on experience, exposure, and knowledge in:
- project management
- program administration
- communications
- budgeting
- public speaking
- CSR subject-matter expertise
Fellows function as full-time professional staff members in CSR Community Engagement while meeting regularly for cohort seminars and social-impact experiences.
Responsibilities:
Potential assignments will include special projects in partnership with the Community Engagement, Volunteerism, and periodic activations with other CSR teams.
An example of a project:
- Develop a Community Capstone Project, create an execution plan, lead the implementation and track impact.
- Coordinate special projects to support the volunteer programs for Team Chick fil-A initiatives.
- Support the design, development, and implementation of CFA College Mentoring Program piloting with Morris Brown College (MBC).
Rotations
Fellows will be assigned a dedicated focus area with the opportunity for rotations within the Community Engagement team.
Fellows Seminar
Fellows will attend bi-monthly seminars instructed by Chick-fil-A executives and national thought leaders. The seminars help provide perspective on business, administration, and social impact issues that are relevant to CSR work. Upon completion of the seminar and the Fellowship, Fellows earn the Chick-fil-A, Inc. Corporate Social Responsibility Fellow Leadership certification.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job. Recent college graduates and entry-level professionals of all academic disciplines and backgrounds who are interested in beginning a career in corporate social responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Community activation or volunteer management experience
- Experience with data analysis, marketing and storytelling
