What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graphic Design & Marketing Intern position at Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl?
Peach Bowl, Inc. is seeking candidates to fill intern positions for the 2025-2026 college football season. The intern program period begins July 8, 2025 and concludes January 30, 2026. Each position pays a salary of $2,500.00 per month. Please note that housing is not provided by Peach Bowl, Inc. Only applicants who have graduated and completed their undergraduate degrees by May 2025 will be accepted.
This year’s seasonal assistants will help plan and execute the Aflac Kickoff Game featuring Syracuse vs. Tennessee and Virginia Tech vs. South Carolina on Labor Day weekend, in addition to playing a vital role in the planning and execution of the College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl on Jan. 9. Interns are assigned to a specific concentration area but are expected to provide support to all areas of the company’s business in a direct, supporting or administrative role.

APPLICANT GUIDELINES

All required documents must be received by 5 p.m. ET on March 2, 2025. Applicant submissions without all of the required documentation will not be considered for the program. Applicant submissions not received by the deadline will not be considered for the program.
Candidates should not contact the Peach Bowl, Inc. office for initial status updates. Candidate evaluation consists of a resume evaluation period, virtual interview period and a final in-person interview period (which could also be conducted remotely, depending on the location of the candidate). Final selection of candidates is targeted for the end of April. Please note that the final selection date could be extended as evaluations are conducted.
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to commit to working a minimum of 40 hours per week at the Peach Bowl, Inc. office in Atlanta. Interns are expected to work from the Bowl office Monday through Friday. Work may be required after normal business hours, on holidays and weekends.
- Should possess an undergraduate degree. A postgraduate/master’s degree in an applicable field (Sport Management, Sport Administration, Marketing, Communications, MBA, etc.) is not required but highly preferred. Students currently enrolled in undergraduate classes will not be accepted.
- Must be able to handle pressure and take initiative.
- Must have high attention to detail, and the ability to organize and complete a diverse set of tasks in a timely manner.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other applicable computer programs.
- Other requirements as specified on role descriptions.
GRAPHIC DESIGN INTERN
PRIMARY POSITION ROLE: This position will be responsible for supporting day to day design projects and season-long initiatives in line with PBI’s marketing and branding goals. This role will contribute to specific aspects of the organization’s social media and digital marketing efforts while also assisting in other areas as needed.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
I. Graphic Design
- Create graphics and update graphic templates for weekly social media content for Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl social media channels.
- Integrate the Bowl’s look of the game into all graphic content throughout the year.
- Work with staff on marketing, events, communications, ticketing, and sponsorship graphic design needs.
II. Social Media
- Help with idea generation, content creation, planning and scheduling for all Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl and Dodd Trophy social media accounts.
- Routinely monitor Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl social channels, respond to fans and communicate opportunities for engagement and two-way conversations.
- Assist in managing social media editorial calendar by copy writing, proofreading, and scheduling outgoing content.
- Work with Integrated Marketing Coordinator to deliver metrics for weekly content and social reports.
- Stay current with social media trends and topics (both in and out of college football).
- Adhere to all internal social media guidelines and brand voice.
III. Website & Mobile App
- Assist Integrated Marketing Manager with website and mobile content updates as needed, including creating graphics for the site.
- Monitor web traffic and analytics for the websites and mobile app.
IV. Marketing
- Assist in implementation of the Bowl’s annual marketing and communications plan.
- Assist in production, shooting and release of video segments.
- Assist in various aspects of executing Bowl signage plan as required.
V. Dodd Trophy
- Create Preseason, Midseason and Final Watch List based on specific Dodd Trophy filters.
- Prepare weekly comparisons of coaches for Coach of the Week.
- Monitor, create static and motion graphics, track analytics, keep calendar, and post for social media accounts.
VI. Other
- Scheduling of marketing/communication meeting
- Assist in the management of volunteer content team around major events (Aflac Kickoff Game, Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl).
- Assist Bowl staff and fellow interns as required
- Assist with research projects as needed.
- Additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills:
1. Strong design skills and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
