What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Teachers / Infant Care Providers position at chico child development center?
Does this sound like you?! Chico Child Development Center is one of the COOLEST schools to work for with the most ADORABLE kids in town. We are seeking leaders in the education field to rise up and grow within our company. Are you ready to join not just a job, but a FAMILY?!
You MUST have a loving demeanor with children. You must love to give hugs, wipe boogers, hold a crying toddler, get a dental inspection by a two year old, have a pretend conversation "on the phone" into a block, and most of all eat pretend food like a champ!
You MUST have a strong stomach and be able to handle smells. The ability to identify immediately who the smell is coming from is a MAJOR BONUS and will save lots of time and energy in the long run. With this, you will also develop a high level of comfort talking about bodily functions. Don't worry, this is normal!
You MUST be able to see and count a sea of moving heads instantaneously and locate anyone playing hide and seek by themselves (or with an imaginary friend).
Classroom duties include but aren't limited to: Frog street curriculum, interacting with children, helping children with eating, diapering/toileting, cleaning, keeping a clean and safe room, having a Quality Care compliant classroom, keeping appropriate logs, and making sure everything is in compliance with Chico Child Development Center's standards.
This is a physically and mentally ACTIVE role. Able to stand for long periods of time, frequent walking, sitting on the floor and playing with children, being able to lift up to a 40 LB child in case of an emergency situation. You must be able to get off the floor and stand up quickly.
We hire for ATTITUDE, not necessarily aptitude. We have a tight-knit team of early childhood professionals, we would like you to join our team, if you are inspired by excellence! We will train you to excel in a child care environment, if you have the passion to do so!
