Chicopee Adult Day Health Center is a fun, therapeutic program that aims to help individuals stay independent, safe, and well so they can live the lives they want to live.
Position Summary:
A compassionate, organized, enthusiastic, and well-spoken individual to be a receptionist/assistant in our busy Adult Day Health Center. Someone who is willing to contribute to the well-being of the office by helping organize and clean up the space and assisting with tasks such as printing copies, attending / making phone calls, ordering supplies. The ideal candidate will have a pleasant demeanor and enjoy working with patients, families, and staff.
Bi-Lingual (English and Spanish) required
Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the Receptionist include:
- Provides a warm welcome to all members, guests, and staff upon arrival and departure at the facility. Maintains lobby area neat and organized.
- Makes customer service a high-level priority by striving to help with every effectively and efficiently ask or task assigned.
- Handles all incoming calls, emails, inquiries, and deliveries while adhering to high levels of customer service at all times.
- Records and enters data regarding visitor logs, deliveries, etc., while keeping effective message writing etiquette.
- Engages with all visitors to build quality relationships with current and/or potential participants.
- Schedules meetings, appointments, arrangements for Staff and Management.
- Perform general tasks such as filing, Replenishing supplies when low, photocopying, etc.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure the smooth operation of the day-to-day activity at the Center.
- Other tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years old and hold a High School Diploma or a GED Certificate.
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a full-time receptionist in a health care setting.
- Must be able to read, write and speak fluently in both English & Spanish.
- Knowledge of basic administrative tasks, office equipment and Microsoft Office.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills including but not limited to: Empathetic and caring nature with an understanding of the unique needs and interests of the senior community.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be highly organized, able to multitask and prioritize.
- Must have the ability to deal with participants, families, and staff with tact and professionalism. Must understand how to deescalate situations and confidentially solve problems as they arise.
- Has a strong meaningful commitment to promoting the well-being and health of others.
Special Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a CORI, SORI, OIG and background check.
- Satisfactorily completed a pre-employment physical examination and received a Tuberculosis screening within the previous 12months.
- Must be able to reliably commute every day, unless otherwise agreed upon by employer.
