- Coordinate and schedule the dispatch of flatbed trucks to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Communicate effectively with drivers to provide instructions, routes, and updates.
- Monitor and track the status of dispatched trucks to ensure on-time performance.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
- Optimize routes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage and update dispatch logs, records, and documentation.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure smooth workflow and high service standards.
- Address and resolve any transportation issues that arise during the delivery process.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Comfortable speaking with customers and drivers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with dispatch software is a plus.
- Previous experience in trucking or dispatching is preferred but not required.
