What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior FP&A Analyst position at Chief of Staff KC?
We are partnering with several local companies that are looking to grow their FP&A teams. Our clients are seeking dynamic individuals who will play a key role in driving strategic decision-making through data-driven insights, forecasting, and financial modeling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes in collaboration with business units.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic initiatives and operational performance.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to assess business performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Partner with department heads to build and manage budgets and forecasts.
- Analyze monthly financial results and provide variance analysis and commentary to senior leadership.
- Support executive-level reporting, including board decks and investor presentations.
- Continuously improve FP&A processes, tools, and systems to drive efficiency and accuracy.
- Ad hoc analysis and scenario planning to support business needs and strategic projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA a plus).
- 4–7 years of progressive experience in FP&A or corporate finance.
- Strong Excel and financial modeling skills
