Purpose
The Senior Accounts Receivable Accountant is responsible for a diverse range of financial and customer service functions. including the credit management, deduction resolution and month end closing activities. Candidate must be able to work hybrid model out of Cary, NC office. This is a 6 month contract role with possibility to extend and go perm.
Main Responsibilities
Credit Management:
Bachelor’s degree Accounting/Finance and at least 5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable required

Main Responsibilities
Credit Management:
- Manage customer’s credit block.
- Customer credit reviews.
- Master data customer set up.
- Address internal and external customer requests.
- Investigate, validate, and resolve various deduction types: returns, pricing, shortage etc.…
- Work with Customer Service to request and/or provide supporting documentation to assist with resolution of customers’ short or over payments.
- Balance and reconcile A/R general ledger accounts.
- Hospital credit reclass
- Bad Debt reconciliation
- Prepare Leadsheet analysis
- Prepare prompt pay roll forward report
- Prepare Delivery/Invoices reconciliation.
- DSO monitoring
- Prepare AR Department KPI report.
- Assist in Bad Debt Reserve calculation.
- Assist Accounts Receivable Department projects.
- Back up for GRD weekly/monthly reconciliation and administration GPO fees calculation.
- Update and maintain pricing records and process price adjustments journal entries.
- Prepare documentation support for audit.
- Pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred.
- Ability to work independently as well as within teams.
- Demonstrate expertise in technology systems utilized for preparing reports and calculations, including, but not limited to: Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel and pivot tables.
- Experience with SAP is preferred.
- Knowledge of credit bureaus and experience assessing credit worthiness
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and to respond to rapidly changing priorities and deadlines.
- Experience in communicating with external and internal customers effectively.
- Must have excellent analytical skills and know how to solve problems.
