SUMMARY OF DUTIES
The Program Supervisor II will play a crucial role in overseeing the direct service paraprofessional staff and supporting the Program Director
III in the overall operation of the Refugee Program. This position involves planning, organizing, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating the
services provided to ensure high-quality support for our clients. The Program Supervisor II will also provide direct service back-up as needed.
This role reports to the Program Director III or Director of Oahu Programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision: Lead and supervise a team of direct service paraprofessional staff, ensuring they have the support and resources
needed to perform their duties effectively. - Program Management: Assist the Program Director III in the day-to-day operations of the Refugee Program, including planning,
organizing, and coordinating program activities; Collecting data, completing program reports and ensuring the program meets the
contract measures. - Service Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate the services provided to ensure they meet program standards and client needs.
- Staff Development: Provide training, guidance, and support to staff to enhance their skills and professional growth.
- Direct Service: Step in to provide direct services to clients when necessary, ensuring continuity of care and support
EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
- Masters' Degree from a school accredited by a recognized accrediting agency. Requires knowledge of an advanced type such as
behavioral sciences, human services, sociology and psychology. - Other (Specify): Preferred: Master's Degree from a nationally accredited agency as a national board-certified behavior analyst, marriage and
family therapist, mental health counselor, psychologist, social worker, school psychologist, or psychiatric nurse.
EXPERIENCE
- Over two years, up to and including four years.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Strong preference for candidate with experience and extensive knowledge of immigrant issues including but not limited to immigration law, social barriers, employment issues and acculturation.
- Ideal candidate is bilingual and speaks languages that are most common with participants being served.
- Must have strong organization skills and ability to manage and lead program staff.
- May require occasional neighbor island and mainland travel.

- This job requires a valid Hawaii driver's license, a clear driver's abstract, and willingness to travel in personal vehicle on an as-needed basis throughout the island.

- Continued employment in this position is contingent on successful completion of CPI classes OR other Behavioral Management certification as may be contract mandated.
- Continued employment in this position is contingent on successful completion of First Aid classes.
- Requires contacts both inside and outside at all organizational levels. Requires considerable tact, discretion and persuasion to obtain results. May present new methods, programs, and controversial issues. Improper handling may affect operating results and the delivery of participant services.
