Program Overview:
Child and Family Service's Early Head Start Program provides comprehensive services to low-income families with children from birth to three years old. Our program focuses on strengthening families and fostering the healthy development of children through early childhood education, health and nutrition services, and family support. As an EHS Lead Caregiver, you will play a critical role in implementing the daily curriculum and supervising all aspects of the program. Responsibilities:
The EHS Lead Caregiver will be responsible for:
- Planning and implementing the daily curriculum for the Early Head Start Program
- Supervising and guiding classroom staff and volunteers to ensure the effective operation of the program
- Organizing daily duties and supervising all classroom activities
- Providing exceptional customer service to families and children participating in the program
- Maintaining accurate records and reports related to the program
- Collaborating with colleagues to achieve program goals and objectives
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in child development or Early Childhood Education from an accredited college or university and 12 months full-time experience working with children under 36 months of age in a licensed group care setting. Alternatively, a High School Diploma, or its equivalent and Child Development Associate (CDA) and 24 months full-time experience working with children under 5 years of age in a licensed group care setting are also acceptable. Other requirements include a valid Hawaii driver's license, a clear driver's abstract, and the willingness to travel in personal vehicles on an as-needed basis throughout the island.
