Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Facilitator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong background in early childhood education or related fields. As a Facilitator, you will be responsible for presenting our engaging, interactive, child safety and abuse awareness workshop to elementary school students. You will be responsible for creating engaging learning environments, managing behavior, and providing educational support to children. Your role will be crucial in fostering a positive atmosphere that encourages growth and development among young learners.
Responsibilities
- Present the CAP Child Safety and Abuse Awareness Workshop and promote learning and engagement among children.
- Manage group dynamics and behavior effectively to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
- Provide guidance and support to children during activities, encouraging participation and collaboration.
- Utilize first aid knowledge when necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other staff members regarding children's progress and needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming space for all activities.
- Adapt activities based on the varying needs of children, including those with special requirements.
Requirements
- Experience in early childhood education or related fields such as daycare or camp settings is preferred.
- Strong behavior management skills to handle diverse groups of children effectively.
- Background in babysitting or childcare demonstrating responsibility and care for young children.
- Knowledge of first aid practices is highly desirable.
- Experience working with children in educational or recreational settings is preferred.
- A creative mindset with an interest in incorporating theater or arts into educational activities is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must have reliable transportation.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
