Child Care Associates (CCA), the largest child development nonprofit organization in North Texas, has served nearly 600,000 vulnerable young children and their families since 1968. Duties
Responsibilities:
· Provide direction and serve as the lead support to the mentoring team.
· Implement training plans for new hire mentor staff.
· Conduct and review shadowing of mentor staff for training enhancement and job performance.
· Provide on-site mentoring to child care providers attaining and maintaining Texas Rising Star certification.
· Responsible for assisting facilities to move towards 4 Star or National Accreditation status by providing on- going support through professional development and modeling developmentally appropriate practices.
· Maintain a visit schedule to insure all TRS sites receive on-site visits regularly.
· Submit weekly reports to Lead Program Support Mentor detailing site visits, successes and obstacles.
· Develop instructional materials and provide instructional trainings on a monthly basis.
· Provide training to TRS Mentors in content areas, coaching strategies and tools.
· Provide face-to-face coaching to classroom teachers as scheduled/required and use a variety of coaching strategies as trained to model for TRS Mentors;
· Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
· Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Child Psychology, Educational Psychology, Elementary Education or Family Consumer Science.
· A minimum of 3 year experience in an early childhood setting.
· Previous experience and proven ability in preparing and conducting training and development workshops for adults with effective results
· Certified Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) Observer for Infant, Toddler and PreK.
· Experience using research-based materials and instructional strategies in an early childhood setting;
· Experience across a diversity of early childhood settings and programs preferred.
· Be conversant in best practices and research.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey thoughts, ideas and concepts to others.
· Computer proficiency required.
· Insured and reliable vehicle for transportation
· Must be able to pass a pre-employment and/or periodic physical examination, TB skin test, and complete background check every 24 months.

After completing one (1) year of service, the company contributes 4% of the employee’s earnings to the 403(b) retirement plan. If the employee also elects to make a contribution to the plan, Child Care Associates will match half (50%) of the employee’s contribution up to 4% of base salary.

Salary : $45,000 - $68,000
