Join CCAoA to help us realize our vision that every family in the United States has access to a high-quality, affordable child care system.Summary of Position : The Senior Business Analyst provides strategic business analysis and acts as the primary party responsible for performing business needs assessment / analysis and ensuring accurate generation of business process models and other business analysis needs throughout the organization. This includes but is not limited to analyzing and validating business, functional, and system requirements for building modernized system(s); documenting and classifying requirements in a requirements matrix; resolving complex problems, which require in-depth knowledge of analytical methodologies / principles; providing recommendations for process improvements or strategic changes. Collaborating with a geographically separated cross-functional team from a remote environment to gather information and ensure alignment in documentation efforts is critical. The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for reviewing assigned business processes from end-to-end to identify and address operational, financial, product, and technological risks. Responsibilities will include a full range of activities from leading small to mid-size projects to assisting project managers and CCAoA’s product manager on larger more complex projects related to operational business functions that affect team members and constituents CCAoA serves.Position Duties and Responsibilities : Demonstrate up-to-date expertise in Technology Systems, Software Engineering and Modern Product Development Lifecycles and apply this to the development, execution and improvement of action plans by providing advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices.Support and align efforts to meet customer and business needs.Manage customer relationships and expectations by developing a communication process to keep others up-to-date on project results.Provide leadership to team members and peers by collaborating with others; articulating ideas and viewpoints to senior management, peers and others; identifying and initiating projects; managing resources; driving the resolution of issues; and holding self and team accountable for results.Identify, create and facilitate process design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis and design at a complex level; focusing on quality improvement and system process management; ensuring data is reliable and valid; developing process improvements or re-engineering and recommending elimination; integrating new systems and processes with existing ones; and partnering with internal and external constituents to ensure systems provided meet the long-term business strategies.Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes and new responsibilities.Elicit and clearly document business and systems requirements.Assess business process and system inefficiencies.Identify ways to increase adoption and customer satisfaction.Serve as a liaison between CCAoA Units and the Technology and Product team to assist or gather business requirements needed for system modifications, enhancement and implementations.Create and maintain issue logs, meeting minutes, meeting schedules, project summaries and updates.Create and maintain project schedules by developing project plans and specifications, estimating time and resources, monitoring milestone completion, tracking all phases of the project lifecycle, providing timely reporting of issues that impact project progress, coordinating actions and resolving conflicts.Meet with project team regularly to review project deliverables and deadlines.Support system conversions, upgrades, enhancements.Participate in a team-oriented work environment and maintain respectful, professional working relationships.Assists with other functions as needed to accomplish Child Care Aware of America's mission and objectives.Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or related field. Master’s degree in business intelligence, business administration (MBA) or data science preferred.Minimum 8 years of working Business Analyst experience.Possess high ethical standards and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies, nationally recognized certificates preferred.In-depth knowledge of Project Management, nationally recognized certificates preferred.Familiarity and experience with Human Centered and Service Design.PMP certification desired.Lean or Six Sigma experience and / or certification preferred.Proven ability to manage multiple programs and projects and provide a high level of service to diverse populations.Proven multi-tasking capability, sense of urgency, organizational skills, and case management skills.Skills : Solution, technology, and team facing. Collaboratively learning every aspect of each corresponding business owners.Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills.Exceptional interpersonal skills.Strong organizational, time management, and troubleshooting skills.Flexibility and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Excellent computer skills and experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products.Excellent communication skills.Experience with Project Management tools, Asana, JIRA, or related technologies.Abilities : Ability to collect, analyze, and present information for diverse audiences.Ability to work under high-pressure situations calmly.Ability to analyze problems and work to resolve issues or escalate to a higher level of support.Ability to work individually and as a part of a team to meet program objectives.Ability to work well with individuals of varying backgrounds and skill levels to achieve program goals.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management.Ability to develop and deliver competency-based curriculum or instructional content and present complex information clearly.Ability to solve problems creatively and analytically.Benefits : CCAoA offers an inclusive and comprehensive benefits package.
