Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Grants Manager to oversee the grant application process and manage funding opportunities for our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong writing and editing skills, along with a solid understanding of contract management and strategic planning. This role is crucial in ensuring that our organization secures necessary funding through effective grant proposal writing and financial report preparation.
Duties
- Develop, write, and edit grant proposals to secure funding from various sources.
- Manage the entire grant lifecycle, including research, application, reporting, and compliance.
- Collaborate with program staff to gather information necessary for grant applications and reports.
- Maintain accurate databases of grants awarded, deadlines, and reporting requirements.
- Prepare financial reports related to grants and ensure compliance with funder requirements.
- Conduct proofreading and editing of all grant-related documents to ensure clarity and accuracy.
- Utilize Raiser’s Edge or similar software for tracking grants and donor information.
- Engage in strategic planning to identify potential funding opportunities aligned with organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in grant proposal writing and contract management.
- Strong technical writing skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Proficiency in database management and financial report writing.
- Excellent editing and proofreading abilities to ensure high-quality submissions.
- Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge or similar fundraising software is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A proactive approach to identifying funding opportunities and developing relationships with funders.
