Our residential programs are ready to hire Bilingual Youth Care Workers to join the team in our Emergency Shelters.
We are looking for compassionate, energetic, and dependable individuals that are committed to building a culture of kindness for the children receiving services.
In this role you will spend most of your time in direct supervision of the youth in our agency's care, providing a safe and secure environment where their emotional well-being can flourish. You will assist in the youth's daily routines including food service, housekeeping duties, recreational and play times, and appropriate rest and relaxation. You will oversee safe transitions between different activities and have the opportunity to foster an environment that facilitates learning and behavioral management in a supportive manner. Under the direction of a Shift Supervisor, you will also assist with the admissions and discharges of the children. Utilizing agency established behavior management protocols and procedures you will support the youth and assist in building essential life skills.
Qualifications
To be considered you must have :
- Spanish / English bilingual capabilities
- The ability to work five, 8-hour shifts (morning / afternoons) each week or four, 10- hour shifts (nights) each week. Flexible schedules will be considered based on the needs of the program.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent and be at least 21 years of age
- One year of experience supervising, nurturing, and meeting the basic needs for youth
- Multi-tasking skills that will support proper documentation and note taking in a fast paced environment
- A clean five-year motor vehicle history and a valid Arizona Driver's license.
- A level one fingerprint clearance card or the ability to obtain one prior to starting
