Child & Family Agency seeks a Full time Budget and Accounting Analyst to work with the Finance Team.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and prepare department budget documents, justifications and reports.
- Maintains reports and budgets in applicable budgeting software system.
- Provide budgetary recommendations to management based on analysis and assessments of data, program assumptions, and realism of estimates.
- Update program/project budgets and forecasts in real time based on changing assumptions in revenue, personnel, and other direct project costs.
- Assisting with the preparation of budget documents for renewal grant applications, new grant applications, budget revisions and business projects.
- Processing and analyzing financial data using IT systems.
- Identify and analyze trends in the receipt, allocation, obligation, and expenditure of funds to ensure the annual budget and financial plan are met on a timely basis, and funds are available and used effectively to support program objectives.
- Forms relationships and gains an understanding of the various departments and program structure in conjunction with their funding streams and/or cost structure.
- Maintains and adjusts personnel allocations.
- Assist the Director of Finance with the day-to-day, monthly and year-end operations of the Accounting/Finance Department.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards (i.e. GAAP), rules, regulations, and systems of internal control
Candidate requirements include:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Budgeting or Finance, preferred.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years budgeting experience
- 2-5 years working with federal/state grant budget awards
- Entering relevant data from a variety of sources into forms, reports, and financial system.
- Researching, planning, forecasting, compiling, and summarizing data concerning personnel salaries and expenses and line-item information needed for execution.
