CFA is seeking a part-time, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our amazing staff at the Urgent Crisis Center who provide high-quality psychiatric care to children and youth ages 4-18. This position would be Monday through Friday, from 5-10pm with an optional 10am-6pm shift on Saturdays.
Educational Requirements:
Graduation from accredited school of nursing; Current APRN license as Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), Connecticut RN and APRN license, APRNs licensed less than 3 years in the State of Connecticut are required to have a collaborative practice agreement (CPA) with the CFA Medical Director physician; or have a signed agreement with CT Department of Public Health for independent practice (after 3 years of a CT CPA). National certification required.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment, including recommendations for medications, individual and/or family therapy
- Participate in multi-disciplinary UCC treatment intervention including rounds, treatment planning, and aftercare referrals and assist in crisis management with facility staff
- Provide emergency evaluations and refer for inpatient hospitalization or specialist when indicated
- Create treatment plans and documentation in collaboration with family and clinical team
- Meet established productivity standards of the program
- Ensure documentation of services correlates with appropriate billing codes to optimize billing services
- Participate in the Agency Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement Initiatives, Peer Review, and other task groups as needed
- Support marketing efforts and statewide advocacy for the UCC program when indicated.
